Figure Skating Academy
The Figure Skating Academy is a tradition at the Winter Club. Figure skaters will advance from Learn to Skate to the Figure Skating Academy. Skaters will progress through the Basic 1 through freeskate levels as outlined by the US Figure Skating association.
Ages
Skaters of any age from kids to adults are allowed to participate in the Figure Skating Academy. Skaters that are completely new to skating may need to complete the Learn to Skate program at the Winter Club before enrolling in the Figure Skating Academy. Please reach out to Denean with any questions.
Where
All Figure Skating Academy sessions will take place at the Winter Club or at Hot Shot Ice Arena.
Basic 1-8 (2025-2026)
The WC Figure Skating Academy is thrilled to announce the ice times for the season! Classes are at Hot Shot in Lake Bluff or at the Winter Club in Lake Forest. We are opening enrollment to all ages, including teens and adults!
Dates: 11/9, 11/16, 11/23 at Hot Shot

RegisterSession 2 (2025-2026)
FSA registration is open for Session 2! These classes are on the outdoor rinks at the Winter Club.
Non-Members/Members:
Sundays: 8:30-9:15 am (ages 3 and up)
12/7, 12/14, 1/11, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22 (possibly 3/1)
Price: $255
Make-up dates will be announced soon
Winter Club Members only:
Sundays: 9:15-10:00 am (ages 3 and up)
12/7, 12/14, 1/11, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22
Thursdays: 4:30-5:15 pm (ages 3 and up)
12/4, 12/11, 12/18, 1/8, 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26
Our 2nd annual WC Figure Skating Exhibition is March 1st!
Make-ups can be completed during any other FSA class.
Thursdays cost $310 and Sundays cost $255. If you want to register for Thurday and Sunday then the price is $550.
